It is a regular full ­day tour at Mont­ Saint­ Michel, starting usually at 9am and 9.30am from Audrieu only. With an early lunch at around noon in order to save time, as much time as possible. Tour ending at around 5.30pm by your hotel.

The cost is 600 euros, including the Abbey entrance and parking fees but not your meal.

Alternative one day tour

From Château d'Audrieu and Caen. It is also a base for departure from Honfleur and Deauville but minus one option at least (German Cemetery).

This alternative tour starts with La Cambe German Cemetery, Pointe du Hoc and a walk on Omaha beach, the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, then Longuessurmer German coastal gun battery, which had a new modern rangefinder in 1944, and the outstanding remains of Mulberry B, the artificial harbour planned and built in England prior to the invasion, needed by the Allied Forces to bring the supplies, at Arromanches. And back to your hotel through the countryside where the Anglo-Canadians had a hard time fighting SS divisions.

Experience the Allied Forces landing focused on paratroopers, German defenses and amphibious combined forces landing on the beaches. Day 1, Utah side: To and around Sainte Mère Eglise, you will be able to experience the incredible commitment of airborne fighters and then go along Germanpositions to the Utah beach landing sector. You will take away the best possible understanding of hedgeraows fighting for a present day civilian. One museum could be added. Day 2, it will be like the "Alternative one day tour".

A three ­day tour in Normandy

Mix of WWII battlefields and medieval history

We could begin with a regular one day tour "Utah and Omaha" and the next day could be dedicated to Bayeux and Gold beach. The Bayeux Tapestry is a unique piece of history. It is a woolen embroidery of the 11th century, almost 70m long, telling us the conquest of England by William the Conqueror and his troops. The last day could simply be a tour of Mont ­Saint­ Michel, hosting the wonder of the West, an amazing pyramid ­shaped islet, with buildings on top piled up along the centuries by constant human will and faith. 

So, total cost of this 3­-day tour is 1700 euros.

From MSM to Granville

Discover the full scale of this world famous place, on the UNESCO World Heritage site list. From 8.30am, departure to Mont­ Saint­ Michel and then tour the wonder of the Western world in a two­ hour guided visit. Then, we will follow the coastal road to Granville, a famous Corsair city in Normandy

and Christian Dior's birthplace. We will have a late lunch (approximatively 13:45) in a small local restaurant. If available, my choice would be to go to a small Tea House restaurant, with fresh food locally produced and even harvested from their garden sometimes!

Please keep in mind that I am a professional freelance tour guide, so, I am never ever commissioned by anybody. I want to provide my guests with only with the best. This Tea House is a local family business...but not of mine or of my family! Of course, they have become friends. So, I can guarantee you a warm and personal welcome toall of us. After lunch, we will tour the high ­city, a walled town overlooking the port. We will discuss WWII in Granville, the Middle Ages, and the English occupation, the French Revolution and Granville's influence on Dior's creativity.
